MISSION STATEMENT
Responders Together NH 501c3 and Lakes Regions Critical Incident Stress Management Peer Team mission is to build a Peer Network to connect BEFORE there is a problem and provide resources if there IS a problem. Responders and veterans are at a significantly higher risk for premature death by suicide and stress related health issues. Many do not seek mental health treatment due to stigma. Physical and mental wellness through connection to relatable peer prevents or reduces Post Traumatic Stress Injury, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and suicide.Responders Together NH has 20 trained peer supporters and 3 responder owned fitness facilities to provide peer to peer fitness, wellness, and support programs to include Martial Arts, CrossFit, strength training, yoga, Game Night, Peer Chat, and mindfulness classes at no cost to responders, veterans, and family members. Lakes Region Critical Incident Peer Team, with 20+ members from multiple departments, is part of a Statewide Peer Support network that provides individual and group support to responders and veterans to provide mental health and other resources for multiple needs including debriefing after critical events.
We need to get the word out to increase participation. These programs have already saved lives. We are 100% volunteer organization providing services in Merrimack, Belknap, and southern Grafton Counties.
Areas/Communities Served:
Peer Facilitated Wellness Programs are offered in Laconia, Franklin, Bristol, and three programs are mobile. We collaborate with other organizations and multiple venues to offer availability. These programs are open to any responder or veteran who wants to join.
